Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

Snapdragon

Mare | 15.2hhs | Dunskin Pintaloosa | of nowhere

NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER SURRENDER.

Letting out a breath against the warm winds of summer, Snapdragon looked out over Paradise and the home she had held for almost two full years. Her long tail flicked against her hocks as she thought, but her mind was made up as she turned her head to the left. Scanning her golden daughter's frame, Snapdragon gave a soft smile towards her child before her strong ears perked high upon her head and a call sent itself from her lungs. She lost her home, but she was thankful for the effort that Nahawi had shown for her home. She was lucky to call him an ally in that time, but no longer would he be that for her.

As her voice echoed through her home, Snapdragon felt the fire that she once held ignite in her chest yet again. It was not a farewell, but a warning call. Sigurdr might have taken her home this time, but the next battle he would face would be her head on. Snapdragon would not be without Paradise forever and it made her feel stronger. She had been wallowing for far to long, but no longer would the pale mare allow it. Grinning though, Snapdragon sent one smirk towards her home and most likely the stallion before she turned away.

The next time Sigurdr would have a fight for Paradise, it would be her teeth aiming for his throat and her hooves wanting to strike his body.

Moving to the water, Snapdragon nudged Bubbles before both pale mares vanished into the water, their white based coats glistening under the salty sea water. The ocean was calm as they swam, but Snapdragon knew it would not stay that way. Her thick frame could feel the turbulence in the distance, the storm that was brewing. She could hear the thunder on the horizon, but it was the static charge of the air that had her heart thundering and strength pumping through her veins.

Pulling herself onto the shores of the Crossing, Snapdragon eyed the open land. Her blue eyes gleamed as her buckskin daughter stood beside her. Already the weenling was thick, draft strong from both of her bloodlines. It made this all the more easier upon the once was Crown of Paradise. Having strength in not just herself, but her child with Finley showed that she was still young, but she did not quit. No, Snapdragon was Vadim’s daughter. If she had learned anything from Vadim, it was that no one gave up. She might not know where her sire was now, but the mare worried not. Both Vadim and Mercury were strong parental figures and Snapdragon took that with her as she made the long journey from day to night and then day once more until she stood at the base of the Peak, thunder and lightning flashing behind her.

Staring up at the steep incline, Snapdragon gritted her teeth, but began to move upward. Her thick legs pumped against the solid earth as her child ran on ahead, youthful vigor coating the air around them. Snapdragon smiled as she watched, but as the rain pelted her skin and thunder roared behind her, the appaloosa mare moved up and up. Mud began to slick her legs and stick to her stomach, showing her forward progress upon the steepest of trails up this mountain. She had not chosen the easiest trail, but the mare feared not. She had a purpose, a goal, and now it was time to put it into motion.

As she finally crested to the main area of the Peak, Snapdragon stopped with panting breaths. Her dual colored mane and tail hung in soaked tendrils against her hocks and neck. Her dark pale face held a look of pure fire as she opened her lips and screamed. She no longer smelt of Paradise, but of travel. Mud stuck to her body and rain slicked down her frame. It was the same for Bubbles, but the duo stood strong once Snapdragons voice ended and a smirk lined her face. She knew what she had to do, but it would be interesting to see just what came of her next adventure upon this mountain.

It was time to harness her inner Vadim and let that BEAST out.
