ceto The sun was beginning to push through the dense foliage of Paradise's jungle as birds began their morning songs. Curled up in the deepest recess of the darkness was a young girl. Ceto opened her pale blue eyes, a start contrast against the dark fur that surrounded them. Her nose, pale and pink, quivered with a snort. She'd not yet left Atlantis, content to linger and move between the territories. If any of the leaders had any indication she was there they hadn't shown it. And in turn Ceto was content to move between them, never staying too long. Stretching like a cat, Ceto pulled herself to her feet and shook off any debris that clung to her. She squinted against the light, making sure no one was too close as she moved through the dense growth.
She was headed for a small waterlogged alcove, hidden almost perfectly in the western area of Paradise. There she could rest in the shallows and eat her fill on the thick leaves that grew around. Ceto was certainly no master of stealth, simply a yearling that had lucked out thus far. Or maybe she just didn't appear to be a threat. Her face was a mask of icy cold, her father's. She stopped in the shadows, sensing another horse nearby. They were going to pass by fairly quickly and she took a hurried step back, snapping a twig beneath her foot. Ceto's eyes widened slightly and she knew she was caught. Her mind races, wondering just what she could do.
There was only one answer.
Ceto was going to act as if she was exactly where she was meant to be. There was a shuffle in the leadership in multiple places in Atlantis earlier. Who was to say she wasn't a resident? She squared her shoulders, trying to look a little taller, and maybe a little older. "Who's there?" Her voice was an ocean breeze, the rough waters of time had not yet drowned out the light of youth.
