Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

The wild boy had been growing more and more restless of late, ever since strangers from Outside had come and taken away several of the stallions - ones that belonged here as surely as he did - away. In his own mind, Warg himself couldn’t help but wonder if he’d be next - he didn’t realize how little of a threat he was at present, how little use he was to anyone.

Politicking meant nothing to him, all he knew was that he was still small, and despite every fiber of feistiness in his body, alone, he’d put far less of a fight up than Peyote had, or the black beast he’d happened upon months ago, or the silver maned stallion that was a formidable presence, even though Warg had yet to interact with him directly.

He’d vanished himself into the very heart of the Lagoon, where the paths could be treacherous if one did not take the time to learn them. Warg had learned the hard way, and had hastily backed out of the bog. It had been days before he dared test his nerve again.

A moment of peace stole over the Lagoon, when the black stallion returned from the mountain (though anger had rolled off him in waves the one time Warg had glimpsed sight of him, and the boy was cautiously keeping his distance) and Warg caught a fresh scent trail of Peyote’s. He’d followed it, naturally, only to find it leading into a section of bog that he was still too small to navigate safely on his own. With a snort, the yearling colt snorted his frustration, and picked his way carefully the long way round, hoping to pick up the stallion’s scent on the other side.

A sound from beyond the fringe of dense foliage pulled the dun boy from his course, and dropping his head low, he took a few tentative steps, muzzle stretching forward to drinking in the air. He caught a scent he recognised, and feeling emboldened, and perhaps wanting for a little company, he sprung through the tangle of leaves and underbrush with a youthful cry of mock challenge.

"Hah!"
