If the sun burned out tomorrow, your flame would light the world
A warmth he hasn't felt in a long time spreads through Sakir as his amber eyes catch Osiris' gaze. Her laughter, light and teasing, brings a grin to his face, one that starts off lopsided but soon blossoms into full charm. He feels more at ease with her than he has with anyone in a long time, and so suddenly, too. Perhaps these Isles are the place for him.
The appaloosa stallion chuckles at her last question, a deep, rumbling sound that conveys genuine amusement. "Oh, I might lose some sleep over it," he says, a faux frown gracing his lips for a moment before his grin returns. "But I have a feeling your company will more than make up for the insomnia." His tone is light, but there's an undercurrent of sincerity that says he truly does look forward to spending more time with her, to exploring the unknown together.
Sakir's eyes linger a bit longer on the red dun woman, appreciating the way the sunlight plays off her coat and highlights the rich hues, before looking back to her gaze. He feels a sense of anticipation, a promise of adventure that lies just beyond the horizon as he tilts his head to the side, letting his two-toned mane billow in the breeze. "So," he begins, his voice warm and inviting, "shall we get started? Would you like to lead the way, or would you prefer to watch me bumble around until I find the correct shoreline?"
He raises a brow playfully, his amber eyes sparkling with mischief. There's a part of him that hopes she'll take the lead, eager to see more of her confidence and knowledge in action. But he’s also more than willing to navigate the terrain himself if it means earning her laughter again.
Sakir shifts his weight slightly, ready to follow wherever she chooses to go. He feels a burgeoning connection with Osiris, a sense of camaraderie that he has missed for so long. The idea of building something meaningful, of finding a home and forging bonds, seems a little less daunting with her by his side.
