GUIDELINES
common sense, really
i. the Prairie stands as a symbol of peace and prosperity among the islands
ii. anyone is welcome to live here so long as they do not bring harm to the Prairie or any of it's residents
iii. adventure and exploration is not only allowed, but encouraged! residents are asked to use their better judgement and not travel to places that could bring them harm
iv. the head of the prairie has final say in all prairie matters. the secondary and third positions are not able to be challenged for and are selected by the head
v. the guardians take on a more active role in the prairie; they must protect the inhabitants of the prairie and go on patrols of the prairie borderlines and shore. they can welcome strangers to the prairie and invite anyone to live here, though they must inform one of the leaders of any newcomers or visitors
I’m a lover but I’ll still fight

castillon of the prairie.
“I am not trying to change the Lagoon,” he ground out at her, tone somewhat heating from the way it’d calmed and sighed just a few moments before. He did not bother to say any more. It was clear Hirka had made up her mind and chosen jealousy over trust.

Castillon had no intention of having a family that behaved that way. He would not be the cowardice fool his father was who let himself have mares who hated one another, who kept their children isolated because of their petty, unspoken feelings. If it made him unliked, that was just as well. Castillon had every intention to prove he was not only his father’s son.

He was his mother’s, too.

“Believe whatever you want, Hirka,” he spat, not having the emotional maturity to keep his rising anger from getting the better of him, brown eyes flashing dark before he turned away with a snap of his tail. "I'll see you in winter if you decide to stay." He wanted to ask her to, to tell her he was sorry but couldn't she just understand? He wanted to see the state of everything for himself. To understand by walking right into the belly of the beast, as it was. At the moment he only had guesses as to why Garmr kept coming for him. He needed to know.

Castillon watched Hirka stride away and sighed. He caught his breath, anger now gone and replaced only by a bit of bitter sadness (that occasionally echoed some irritation) as he sought out their daughter. He feared she would be just as upset with him as her mother was. When he came home in mid-winter... would he not only find that his stubborn decision lost him Hirka and their daughter as well?
