GUIDELINES
common sense, really
i. the Prairie stands as a symbol of peace and prosperity among the islands
ii. anyone is welcome to live here so long as they do not bring harm to the Prairie or any of it's residents
iii. adventure and exploration is not only allowed, but encouraged! residents are asked to use their better judgement and not travel to places that could bring them harm
iv. the head of the prairie has final say in all prairie matters. the secondary and third positions are not able to be challenged for and are selected by the head
v. the guardians take on a more active role in the prairie; they must protect the inhabitants of the prairie and go on patrols of the prairie borderlines and shore. they can welcome strangers to the prairie and invite anyone to live here, though they must inform one of the leaders of any newcomers or visitors
I do believe it's time for another adventure;

if we were meant to stay in one place,
we'd have roots instead of feet.

Curled up as she was, Aurelie had a prime view of her two loves interacting and could not hide the warm chuckle that bubbled up through her chest as the filly's head tilted inquisitively. She had always loved those first few days with her babies as they filled their lives up with new experiences. Each stimuli they faced was brand new to them, and she loved seeing their little personalities shine through as they figured it out.

"Dolores," she echoed after the handsome cremello spoke it aloud, a smile growing along her lips. It fit the girl somehow, as though he had crafted it wholly for her instead of plucking it from his lexicon of names. "It's beautiful, Zev." She reached forward to try and nuzzle against the girl's body, wishing to draw in that milk-soft scent of her again. She could get drunk off that scent alone as intoxicating as it was, and her eyes shuttered closed in thankful relief as she thanked whatever gods that be for allowing her to deliver another healthy baby into the world.

"She is," Aurelie agreed, opening her eyes to fondly observe little Dolores peering up at the sky. "Although I cannot blame her," she said with a teasing grin. "The only thing more worth looking at here is her daddy."

With a flick of her tail, the pintaloosa shifted so as to extricate herself from the girl's body without hurting her, and then tiredly rose to her feet. The motion teased an involuntary groan from her and she stretched gingerly, her entire body exhausted from her recent birth. This had been harder than most, and she felt her age more keenly than before. Even after the nap she'd taken with their daughter, the thought of curling into Zevulun's side and sleeping for another ten hours sounded lovely.

She took a few tender steps to his side and lowered her head, seeking to press her side against his, her head curled below his chest so that she might listen to his heartbeat. "I think though," she said with a teasing lilt, an invisible smirk on her lips, "that the first Dolores-watching shift should go to her Daddy."
