Sinaet can feel that she's speaking in riddles. In a way, it is a spur-of-the-moment defense mechanism. The attraction between them had lasted a while now and had not diminished; it had surprised her. It reminded her of the early days with Rougaru and dredged up memories of being alone in the sands for periods of time. It had been a decent arrangement at first, but it had left her feeling his absence.
It wasn't necessarily a painful time in her life, but it had instilled an innate sense of almost fear that one day she would be forgotten, that her presence was merely a blip on the radar and was ultimately unimportant. If she went with him, Sinaet risked opening herself up to that possibility.
When he speaks, his words are honest and devoid of frivolity. Subconsciously, Sinaet knew she would never experience anything if she kept herself in limbo. So, despite her mind telling her this could be a bad idea, the mare's heart decided to leap. The smile is more forthright this time as she makes eye contact, softly touching her pale muzzle to his. "I do like you," she murmurs the admission. Her touch lingers for a heartbeat before pulling away.
Sinaet creates distance between them again, a pull to his push. Her body angles away from him toward another part of the forest, further from the herd. She'd gone no more than a pace when she turned back to him. "Let me show you just how much." Her gaze is almost hungry now, her body language inviting him to follow before trotting further into the trees.
