Swimming at night was perhaps his most favorite thing. The way the stars reflected off the water was magical, but it was the moon that really set the tone. He never went too far from the Shore unless he had a good reason for travel. Today was different in the fact that he was tired of being alone. Never quite alone in such a big family, but with everything going on at home he figured a trip away would be nice. This situation only reminded him of what he would not have. Children to cry over his memory and a mate to stick by his side till his dying breath.
It was mostly his fault. Where others sought companionship young he had been avoiding it. He had liked being alone (until Eadaz) and he just better settle for the bed he made himself. Besides, even mare he had interest in dissapears. He could never find Eadaz again and then there was Tϋlay who left the islands. He was beginning to wonder if fate itself has cursed him for a choice he made in his youth.
Before long Has had made it to a dark shore. It had not been his intention to swim this long nor did he know where he was. It wasn't the Ruins so that was a plus. By the time he reached the sound of water she was ending a prayer to the stars. He stood frozen in silence. Awestruck at her beauty and at the same time curious about her familarlatity. Then there was the fact that her image in the darkness almost didn't seem real.
