GUIDELINES
common sense, really
i. the Prairie stands as a symbol of peace and prosperity among the islands
ii. anyone is welcome to live here so long as they do not bring harm to the Prairie or any of it's residents
iii. adventure and exploration is not only allowed, but encouraged! residents are asked to use their better judgement and not travel to places that could bring them harm
iv. the head of the prairie has final say in all prairie matters. the secondary and third positions are not able to be challenged for and are selected by the head
v. the guardians take on a more active role in the prairie; they must protect the inhabitants of the prairie and go on patrols of the prairie borderlines and shore. they can welcome strangers to the prairie and invite anyone to live here, though they must inform one of the leaders of any newcomers or visitors

he black mare agreed with a simple nod of her head, bending to his whim. It was where she'd hoped they would go when she had thought about the stallion these last few months. The thought of leaving her family should terrify her, but Vervain was.. relieved somehow. There would be no questions hanging around in every inch of the air she breathed about what had happened and what the future held. The open sky would be lost among the leaves again, and she would be hidden beyond the mangroves where no one watched her with prying eyes, where life was simple and expected.

Her eyes settled on Velaris once more, feeling more relaxed than she had in weeks. She's been asking for you, the brindle told him gently. Almost every day their painted daughter had asked where her daddy was with increasing agitation, and Vervain had long since run out of excuses. It was excruciating to see her daughter so upset and to know everyone else besides them felt so very differently about the grullo at her side. The brindle could feel the tension building in his body and stepped back, touching her satin lips to his throat soothingly. They would leave now; she knew he'd say as much.

Why don't you wake her?
