Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

it's a good day for my friends and bad day for my enemies - CLAIM -

The painted grey-gold stallion watched the two others quietly from his concealed place in the Lagoon's lush, muddy shadows. Tribulation had happened upon them by chance. He had spied the stallion days beforehand and had discerned from his brothers that this one had not joined their band but was instead a captive like the many mares they kept. To the grullo, further information beyond that wasn't important.

The gold-patched mare on the other? She was definitely not one of the mares bound within the Lagoon. From what the stallion could discern from the direction of her approach, she might have simply wandered into his clutches by accident. A happy accident, he noted with an encroaching smirk. Tribulation ignored the comment about 'bachelors lurking around every corner.' The man was right; he was a prime example of the sentiment.

His mismatched black and silver eyes lingered over every full curve of the mare's body and the intricate lines of her markings. The dark length of his tail flicked at an errant fly. A bead of sweat trickled down the thickest part of his neck as he pressed forward from the foliage like a snake revealing itself to prey. He ignored the raking branches and any small cuts they might have made along his hide. "If she wasn't before, then she is now," the tovero remarked cooly, largely ignoring the male.

Tribulation rushed toward the pair eagerly, his eyes alight with mirth at his luck. He would come between her and the stallion with immediacy, his shoulder pressing into her flanks while he nipped her rump roughly. He meant to usher her to his own private corner of the Lagoon before another brother could take her from him. Tribulation pinned his ears and shot a warning look at the other stallion not to intervene. The captive should know his place in this equation, but the tovero was willing to remind him if need be.
