He notices the reticence in the herd Lord quickly and wonders if perhaps he should have offered Bloodwine to Nicodemus out of some kind of societal politeness he didn’t know. It was a bother, not precisely being aware of the typical ‘it just isn’t done’ of the world he lived in. Normally Tuatara or Wintersweet had had something to say about any simpleton thing he had done or was about to do, but Tuatara had seemed unperturbed by the idea and so he had followed through.
