Re(2): Olympics - No Jai-alai ???

Those are the requirements to be an official (or regular) Olympic sport. The Olympics used to have “demonstration sports” which were typically chosen by the host country, something that was familiar in their country and the sport happened at just those Olympic Games that they hosted. That’s how we had jai-alai in the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. As a demonstration sport. However, those were the last Olympics that had demonstration sports. They have been “suspended” since after the 1992 games. So while it would have made sense for France to also have jai-alai as a demonstration sport like Spain did in 1992, that isn’t an option anymore.
