He has no idea what he is doing or even why. All the young stallion knows is that the Stormcloud mare seemed…. Sad? Lonely? Maybe he was just imagining things and yet still his snow-dusted hooves find themselves navigating over the drifts of ice to close the distance between them. He knows that there is a good chance the mare might find his presence more of a burden than a welcome reprieve but he can only hope that was not the case. If he at least made an effort then maybe mother and father would stop their worrying. Was it really so wrong that he was not the most social of creatures? He gives his broad head a quick shake, ridding himself of the fresh layer of snowflakes that pepper his vision field. Fluted ears tilt sideways as golden eyes search for the dappled woman’s own gaze. Absently he clears his throat, both warning her of his impending approach and giving her time to turn away should she find no interest in his companionship.
”Uh….” he begins, uncertainty dancing in the tone of his voice. ”Hello… I’m Burn. I don’t think we have met before… Are you new to the Forest?” Rambling and far from smooth but it was a start at least.
BURN
