Re(2): O finally you repeat whats kept you so SORE!

That's not quite the way the board member explained it on here, but I don't think he was all that happy with you much. Knowing how you write and make up shit like Trump does, I'm not surprised you'd have a different recollection.

In anycase, you having an utter Jones and not letting it go tells me that you're the one with issues, not the board people.

You still haven't explained why you were so insistant and so pushy about it. I"ve met special ed parents who just get all wrapped up in their sagas for their kids' needs, they lose all reality in their campaigns. Some just nag the shit out of school officials because they dont' know when to quit. But others had to push because schools were naturally resistant in the early years until they got funding from DOE.

Now comes Trump wanting to cut DOE altogether. As Kamala says, "We aren't going BACK." On this issue, I totally agree but as a reporter at that time with disagreeable parents and disagreeable bureaucrats, well there was a lot of pushing and pushing back.

Parents are right to the extent they have one shot at getting school services and they are all mindful that at 18, mandated services just stop.

So where do we put our funding...to help the kids who need the help or help the drunks who just didn't have enough discipline to stop drinking and get skills? Republicans and democrats fight over socialism and safetynets all the time. Yes, I'm liberal. But I also know that we have spent way too much moeny on handicapped parking spaces and ramps on every road where there MIGHT be a wheelchair come by, and their might not.

I'm way more worried about the autistic kids because they grow up and their parents won't be around to take care of them. We have a dog in that hunt so Im way more concerned about them than total access for people who can't walk everywhere they like. In special ed, the loudest squeeks get the funding...thats been going on since 1975 when the Handicapped Bill was passed.

Like Brown v Board's law about integrating schools, it took 15-20 years for it to get fully implemented. That was sure true in busing kids in both KC and Wichita, I remember well and you might have seen me reporting on in when I was at KSN.
