I don't think you'd like sharing our space with another 50 million unwanted, generally unskilled people.
The problem I see is that Republicans run the state legislatures and they've stopped investing in making our labor force educated. Between that and the cost of health care and raising kids here, people got abortions in part because they didn't make enough money to support them. They largely wouldn't have made enough money to pay for their health care...but someone does. WHO? The insurance premium payers. ALso thin k of it that its another 50 million that wont' be on Medicare and SS now that everyone's living another 20 years or more. Keepin mind under Republican administrations they've created a growing billionaire class and they don't spend money. They sit on it which does nothing for the economy.
When I was young, there were efforts to slow birthrates. That was before 1973.
I'm actually surprised Republicans support birth control other than they coudln't win without the evangenitals, who by and large will never be wealthy because they spend too much of their money supporting their churches which provide zero value added to the economy.
