Who do you think you're lecturing? Theres only a couple people in here and I dont' sense they're envious or jealous.
If anything, you should lecture people about being judgmental about OTHERS.
That'd sure be a case of projection for you, shoudln't it?
Having trouble with ENVY now? And Jealousy? People live by their decisions. I've always blamed television for making people unhappy. During the Depression everybody was dirt poor and couldn't afford going to the movies to see rich people, so they just figured everyone was poor. My parents were too busy when they were young finding food and warmth. Dad was a farm kid so they fend their city relatives on Sundays and sent em home to KC with food.
My Mother as a kid was in the breadlines of Detroit because her dad got sick and died in 1931. All us boomers who have computers today fared better. All the old people who grew up in the Depression I knew were very frugal all their lives because they lived in poverty. Us boomers, we've always been wasteful because we've never known hunger.
One thing about the last third of our lives when we're retired...we're not preoccupied with career envy. We either made enough money near the end of our careers to qualify for a comfortable social security check, or we didn't. And worked places where there was a good retirement. I didn't get any retirement until I got out of broadcasting, thankfully early enough to have gotten some retirement money which I didn't even have to pay into. Nice surprise.
So ya got family to keep ya company in your old age, or are you gonna be a shut-in? Really, Jim. I don't need a lecture on Envy and Jealousy. Do YOU? Replies:
