Yes you are quite right. We should remember all those who are killed in actions around the world and in both world wars. Still, we should also honour and respect those who serve and then die after retirement from the forces, who have also fought but have been lucky to come back home to their families or have just served in the armed forces.
What I cannot understand is that, for example, on this website, I post many Death notices on the message boards that are not even acknowledged, let alone respected.
This I need help understanding. I did not serve in the regular army, and I did not serve with any of you on this website, but I will fight tooth and nail and travel miles to pay you your due respects for serving our country in the LFs. God knows it's not compulsory to Pay respects, but being a veteran, I thought it would be a natural thing to do.
