Does a bird sing in sorrow? SALINGER Posted on November 13, 2024 at 08:02:42 PM by Digital Bird
The blue roan found herself alone for the moment. Shimmering chocolate eyes swept over the sparkling blue before her. She could hear the crash of the falls and her eyes closed. Ears flick and swivel to the roaring sound of water hitting water. She could feel the spray hit her face as she moved gently into the cool pool of liquid that rippled around her hocks. She paused only as she came to feel the dancing water on her knees. She opened her eyes again as the liquid splashed against her face and chest. There is a smile to her lips as she shifts slightly and ears swivel to the sound of hooves hitting the ground somewhere nearby.
Nostrils flare and her head swivels gently around toward the approaching creature. A bay overo. The blue roan's nose told her that it was a male. A younger stallion than she by quite a bit. He was not necessarily a child but she wasn't sure that he was a stallion yet either. Curiously those brown eyes steady on him. Searching perhaps as to why he was approaching a lone older mare. There is a smile still on her lips though as she spoke in breaking the silence beyond the falling water.
"Am I to find your approach as boredom? Or do you approach others on a whim?" There is no anger or animosity to her voice. Only wonderment as to Salinger's approach of she. Why? What was his purpose with a pretty but aging mare such as she? It made little sense to Digital Bird honestly but who is she to judge anyone's reasoning? Replies:
