LUCIFER
stallion | 18hhs | black | Keeper of the Ridge

Feeling something urge him forward, Lucifer blinked his bright eyes and scanned the shoreline of his home. He felt the wind tug at his body and the birds circling overhead had his ears tilted a bit towards the sky. His long mane dangled with debris stuck in its lengths and wandering knots tugged at his scalp. Tossing his head, the large draft stallion turned faintly to look back over his shoulder. Scenting the air, he drug in the different tastes of his herd, ones that were forcefully here for the time being and the one that was not. Blinking his red eyes, Lucifer pulled in Rieva’s scent above all and felt something shift in his gut as a sigh of relief escaped his lips. There was something about her that called to the monster, but the others here did not have that effect on him. Chimney was just a womb to him and the creature she carried was his spawn. Calder was a golden trinket he had found in the debris of a forgotten territory. Rieva? She was something entirely different and it had Lucifer confused but also content. Shrugging away those thoughts though, the black man faced the ocean once more before a call fell from his lips as he descended into the water.

The swim had not been easy once he had breached the ocean, but time slipped by and Lucifer found himself on the crossing island once more. His head turned to face the Lagoon, but his hooves did not move to his old home. Instead, the stallion let his head turn to the peak and almost stepped in that direction. The hunger he held for that buckskin child was stronger than before now that he was close and could easily steal her away and add her to his collection. Lucifer, be it all of his horrid habits, would not actually kill a child. He had faked Tefnut’s death and now she was a lively yearling. He had maimed Bubbles, but he had not heard word of her being dead. It did make him question though what was he really in for if he went for the child? Would her painted mother come at him again like her dirt colored sire? Lucifer held no clue, but instead of actually going on with his wants for another child of his own that he did not have to sire, he went to the commons.

Moving through the fall grasses of the commons, Lucifer watched the various specks of horses. His gaze scanned them all before he turned and let his gaze latch onto one that was more alone. His head tilted as he scanned her frame, curious. Black and white, something he had not seen in a hot minute on these islands. She was dainty in a way, showing her feminine nature to his bulky frame. His gaze scanned all of her like a predator searching its prey for wounds, but none of it was really in the wrong light so to speak with his mental go about the world. Once he had looked at her enough though, the stallion slowly stepped closer and was loud enough for her to hear in order to not spook this one off or get chased by a bear, like the last encounter he had with a mare not in his home.

As his steps got closer, her call entered his ears. Perking them forward, he was almost shell shocked with the simple fact she was searching for suitors. Flicking one ear back, Lucifer listened to the land behind him before his own lips opened and his call resounded in the air. He was answering her call, but his black form was already headed in her direction before he dipped his head and a sentence that no one would have ever expected left his lips.

“What's a gorgeous lady like you doing in the commons this time of year?”
