I got to interview Bobby in 68,,,I was 19, my first radio job. He was very short, small, tanned, and looked just like he did on natnl TV. Other than a 1 on 1 with Carter, he was my most famous interview. They'll all talk to you when they're in a primary! heh heh. Wasn't that many weeks and he was dead in LA. That hit me hard because I was a progressive even then.
I can imagine that if Bobby had lived, his kid woudln't have become such a schmuck! Trump is the strangest politician I've ever seen.
His ideas about deporting so many of the people who harvest or butcher our food, and on top of that slapping 25 pct imports on Mexico and Canada are absurd.
I don't think corporate America will let him destroy the country....theyll stage an intervention with him because it's too costly to the country to stand by and watch him commit murder/suicide like happen fairly frequently with nutcases who don't happen to be rich and famous, and decide to off their wives and kids.
MSNBC really laid it all out Monday night and Tuesday how this would cost us with his two pet objectives, tariffs and deportations.
But if the republicans who understand economics are too scared to stand up to him, like their predecessors did with Nixon, well by 2026, we'll get a whole new Congress and there won't hardly be any Republicans among em.
Even the rural farmers will turn on those in safe districts.
