Φιλότιμος γὰρ ἀνὴρ πάντα πάντοτε.

A MAN OF HONOR IS AT ALL TIMES A MAN OF HIS WORD.

He was polite. He was kind. Traits that were needed around children, but those traits just got shoved back in his face and Voyager felt his sturdy ways crumbling. He had failed before to so many other stallions with no one to try and build a life with. He was losing Cromer and he held no more urge to even try with this stallion coming into the fray. Voyager took in a breath and said nothing, his head lowering further as his heart just finally quit giving effort.

Hearing them both speak, Voyager listened, but no words left his lips. He just stood there, silent and sturdy, before he lifted his head and looked over his shoulder back towards Luthien. “I'm sorry, this was a mistake.” He muttered under his breath, his large frame shifting as he stared at the Atlantis stallion and then the mare and her foal. He would have loved the chance to try being a father for the younger foal, but he no longer even wanted to fight for it. Shaking his head, Voyager gave both of them a faint smile before dipping his head and turning away.

“You guys take care of yourselves.” He rumbled before heading back the way he came. It was time to speak with Cromer anyway. Both of their wandering hearts were growing more and more restless and it wasn't worth the effort anymore to try and find someone that would want to stay. “Maybe… it's time for something else.” After his words filled the wind, Voyager vanished into the treeline and headed home.
