I know you're a local radio guy but have you thought about introducing yourself to well connected, highly popular and listened to back east PODCASTERS instead?
I've done some talk shows as a sub and also as the standin in the midwest. Listening to uneducated listeners can have it's place to find out what the unwashed, uneducated think, but the radio shows out here in the sticks are limited in presenting you educated truth.Z
The professionals and educated crowd don't listen to the Kansas City milkman who waited 45 minutes to say his piece, they listen to the well knwn podcasters who know stuff. Who write and present considered views, and guests who are movers and shakers.
I learned many years ago not to listen to those who just wanna hear themselves talk and speculate but rather well wired people from government and private enterprise. Trained and informed people, not amateur listeners filling time between commercial breaks.
Have you listened and compared? Maybe its worth your time to subscribe to some of the ones who got out of this dinky market and actually have influence!
MY kid's a big fan of certain ones, and he spends his time listening to them, not to the network news talk shows I do.
