GUIDELINES
common sense, really
i. the Prairie stands as a symbol of peace and prosperity among the islands
ii. anyone is welcome to live here so long as they do not bring harm to the Prairie or any of it's residents
iii. adventure and exploration is not only allowed, but encouraged! residents are asked to use their better judgement and not travel to places that could bring them harm
iv. the head of the prairie has final say in all prairie matters. the secondary and third positions are not able to be challenged for and are selected by the head
v. the guardians take on a more active role in the prairie; they must protect the inhabitants of the prairie and go on patrols of the prairie borderlines and shore. they can welcome strangers to the prairie and invite anyone to live here, though they must inform one of the leaders of any newcomers or visitors
i'm a lover but i'll still fight

castillon of the prairie.
Already prone to wrestle with self-doubt as it was, losing Aura to the Lagoon, having her endure giving birth to twins while away from home, and fearing for the fate of their daughters had only amplified it all. His refusal to lose again had driven him to fight a bit recklessly, his emotions getting the better of him multiple times during the fight with the golden Lagoon bachelor. He was lucky he’d only come away with a stiff, sore left hip. He was lucky that it had not been Garmr to face him; the silver-haired brute would have taken note of his emotions and found a way to use them against him, no doubt.

Castillion shook his head, dredged dark hair slapping awkwardly against his gilded neck, water rolling off his body as he strode up the shoreline and back into their home. Aura was laughing and the sound of it immediately pulled him away from thinking about the bachelors and the Lagoon. Castillon’s brown eyes warmed as he looked over at her, half a smile climbing across his lips as he did.

His girls were home. There were others missing, others he needed to find (or see if he still could) but… for now… for just right now…

Castillon could not remember a moment he had felt so happy, so whole, and so at peace.

Aura’s eyes met his and his smile deepened. Welcome home, my darlings. She said, and Castillon exhaled the softest breath, just barely shaking his head with some disbelief. There had been so many moments in the time she’d been away that he’d feared this day would never come.

“Welcome home,” he added, drifting closer to her to brush his lips affectionately along her salt-water wet cheek. Castillon breathed a warm breath over her before he pulled his head away, glancing off at their girls who were somehow still filled with boundless energy, despite the travel along Crossing and the swim to Luthien. He chuckled and glanced back at Aura. “They are going to sleep so good when they finally crash.”
