Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

let me be brave

Oswin? His voice had been quiet, but she still heard it clearly. Oswin stalled immediately in place, swinging her slightly dished face toward the direction she’d heard him. The sight of him, so clearly defeated, stuck in this wretched pit because these unruly bachelors couldn’t help themselves, rekindled the fire that constantly fueled her. In her youth she would’ve immediately charged off to find someone, anyone responsible, and given them absolute hell.
But, much older now, Oswin only blew a breath from her pale pink nostrils and swung herself toward him, quickening her pace over the soft ground to make her way to him. There was no pause to exchange breaths or test boundaries, they were far beyond that at this point. Too, with his absence… Oswin had known she had missed Tyr, but the ache she’d been quietly suffering felt as if it grew exponentially with each step she grew closer to him.

So, she let herself bump into him, allowing their warm skin to rub and collide. “Tyr,” she managed in return just before she ducked her cheek to rub it along his shoulder. For a few moments she only kissed him here, there, looked him over and let concern darken her gaze at the sight of him. “I missed you,” she said at last, but even that didn’t quite feel like it properly described how she had felt without him.

“I’ve felt… incomplete.” Oswin corrected; without Tyr beside her, she did not feel whole. He had become such an important, consistent part in her life, to suddenly have him ripped away from her had hurt her more than she realized. “Let me take you back to the Prairie with me,” she said, even knowing that wouldn’t be possible right now, a little humor in her voice - hoping to help draw some of himself back into the shell he’d become while he’d been here, “I still have enough fight left in me to humble these brats.”

oswin
this is as brave as I know how to be.
I know it’s gonna hurt you, but please… be a little proud of me.
