That makes sense...there really isn't much reason to listen to AM in KC, is there? KCMO AM's never amounted to much, BZ moved to 98.something. All the good stuffs on FM, isn't it? Didn't used to be that way, as we old timers know. Whats on AM 610...they've had a solid history since I was young, as was WHB, 810, 980, and even KCKN.
I have always wondered why the NY networks didn't simulcast news etc on some low audience AM signals.
And today, now that ABC, NBC, CBS have 24 hour news channels, why didn't the FCC insist affiliate TV stations didn't use ONE each of their subchannels for news 'in the public interest" as opposed to the 60s TV shows they fill em with now.
Cable news isn't very accessible without people spending serious money for "TV PROVIDERS". We cut the cable finally and went alll ROKU. But FOX, MSNBC and CNN all are on the free computer USNEWSON. COM, which isn't very high quality.
Until WIFI is free in some form, the whole country, especially rural and innercity areas are in a news desert... probably why Trump won.
The 3 Evening News networks at 5:30 have been hijacked by consultants. Cronkite, Huntley and Brinkley must be rolling over in their graves!
