Budget Cuts? BULLSHIT

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Radio in Kansas City will sound a lot different starting in 2025.

Todd Nixon, Program Director and morning host at Q104 KBEQ-FM announced he is no longer with the country radio station due to budget cuts.

“Budget cuts have impacted us, as they have across much of the industry right now. While it’s a difficult moment, my overwhelming feeling is gratitude,” Nixon wrote on Facebook.

He joined the station in January 2017 as program director and hosted a midday show.

A year ago he switched shifts and joined Jenny Matthews to cohost the station’s morning show.

“Jenny Matthews it’s just amazingly reignited my fire for being on the radio and being on the air we had an awesome year doing a morning show together and love her dearly and I know that she’s going to continue just to crush it,” Nixon wrote.

He said he plans to stay in the Kansas City area because it’s where his family and fiancé live. He also said it’s his home now and can’t express what people in the metro mean to him.
