Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

The sun, the moon and the stars; (GARMR)

The lavender girl is uncomfortable, to say the least. Pregnancy is not at all what the other mares have cooed and preened it would be. At first, the flutter of life in her belly is heartening, offering warmth and security to the threads that bind herself with Garmr. A promise that he would not leave her again. However as the months progress, so too does her sour mood. No longer is she content with the company of the trinkets of the Lagoon. She was learning quite quickly that all mares, regardless of their origins or positions in a herd, were not much more than tittering songbirds flitting from one subject to another. Only a select few had provided her any sort of real conversation but even that had had its limits. Despite how benevolently the gray mare had spoken of the peak, Druna had absolutely zero desire to return there. Her precise words had been something along the lines of ‘not even if hell froze over.’
But the peak mare was gone and rumors arose soon after that the peak mares had been responsible for not just her freedom, but for the death of the General. Why it was a sore spot for her Druna didn’t quite know. However, it is just another piece of fuel to add to her proverbial fire that she continued to stoke day in and day out. A grunt leaves her lips as the child within her patchwork belly offers yet another kick to her ribs. As if she needed the reminder that it was running out of space inside her. ”I KNOW! No need to constantly remind me.” she huffs, her pale whipcord lashing irritably against her flank as she makes her way through the throng of small palms and salt grass. The receding tides from the last set of storms had left in its wake a thick, miry mud over her favorite patch of sea lavender, making the flora no longer the perfect place to seek refuge from the thick saline air. Dark, black mud caked her hocks, cold despite the warmth of the afternoon sun that showed upon her pale skin. An almost feral growl rumbles deep in her throat as her silver-blue gaze snaps towards the dense brush in search of her silver-haired partner. Ashen lips press firmly together as she stalks away from what had once been her sanctuary of peace. If she was miserable she would make sure Garmr shared in her displeasure. It was only fair he suffered too.
It is not hard to find him, the large Boss had brought her to his favorite hideouts often enough that Druna felt certain she could find him even if he wanted to hide from her (which no doubt he did considering the mood she was in lately). ”Garmr! Garmr.” The name that months ago had been a whispered prayer on her lips is now spat in frustration and rising anger. Dark-tipped ears snap backward beneath the thick curls of her wind-tangled mane as the minx stalks through the underbrush to stand before her mate. Fury blazes behind her silver-blue eyes as she meets his gaze, paper-thin nostrils flaring as a single brow arches, ”Is this your plan of action? Lazing around and acting like nothing happened? Where is the fierce BOSS that you told the men you would become? Where is the stallion that doesn’t take no for an answer?” she snarls, stomping a single forelimb into the malleable earth beneath her hooves.
Quick as a viper her teeth pinch into his flesh. Dark ears lace tightly against her skullcap as Druna presses against him needing the fight that her actions could draw from him as much as she needed to see it still burned inside him. ”Is this how the rest of the bachelors should spend their days? Acting like lazy dogs? Soaking up the sun? No! That is not what a leader is! What are your plans?! My father would never sit so idly by after an attack like that. What do you plan to do about it?” she snaps, thrusting her muzzle into his muscular neck, finding comfort and exhilaration in the adrenaline that pumped through her veins and the musky scent of his sun-warmed skin.
