Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

Ashteroth is quiet, even as the bickering started, and the meeting went rapidly downhill. It no longer felt like a discussion on what they should do over what happened, but a more personal matter between the past and present prime ministers. Eventually, Ashteroth has enough.

“That’s enough.” she snarled, raising her voice above the two older mares. It is not like her to be so abrupt with her elders. Even though she had never given her vote to Marcy during the elections, she had not opposed the spotted mare once she had seized the power she had wanted. Had not voiced her opinion when she had disliked the decree placed upon the women of the Peak. Ashteroth had kept silent and done her duty as a Valkyrie and as a Codebreaker. Being respectful and being a sister. But this? It was anything but that. “What are we, a bunch of Lagoon stallions having a pissing contest? Are you even listening to yourselves? Whats done is done, and none of that is going to help.”

Her cold blue eyes swung over to the mare who had spoken up amongst the midst, suggesting but not outright saying that they should take just like the Lagoon did. “We ask, because that is what we are supposed to do. But perhaps no one has asked before, because the previous leaders were too bull headed and proud to do so.”

Ashteroth returns her attention to Marcy and Khar and she can’t help but feel her own anger boiling just beneath her blue and white skin. But it wasn’t from their current situation, it was how the two mares were behaving. “I agree that we should go to the other islands. There are always rotating leaders, and we should put a name to a face on who holds what territory. We should remind them that the Peak is more than just a bunch of cold-blooded mares hating on stallions. We are mares with families, we are mares who stand up for what is right. WE are Valkyries, and we are what keeps evil at bay. But we cannot do that if its allowed to fester amongst us.”

The draft mare lets out a snort then, her tail snapping from one flank and then the other before she added. “Once you’re ready to come up with an actual plan, come and find me. I will not waste my time listening to what is supposed to be my sisters bickering with one another in such a foul way.” Turning away from them, Ashteroth paused and glanced over her shoulder at them. “Else I might the one who starts the damn mutiny." With one final icy glare, the painted mare walked away.
