Re(3): State of the onion

Here is my take. I’ve been a fan since the northern Bridgeport and Milford days. I was privledged to see some of the greats play.

The bottom line is even back then with great seasoned players it all came down to competitivness. If the playing field does not match up and there is a big disparity in talent level it does not serve the betting public or the sport well.

I give all the credit to Benny. He has put together a competitive group of players this season. If you are not playing pure numbers but attempting to handicap the games you know it is no easy task this year.

Some guys are better than others naturally, but everyone is pretty much playing on the same level. That great for the betting public and fans.

I’d rather watch a competitive AAA baseball game vs a major league blowout between the top team and a basement dweller.
