As soon as he saw them he knew it meant something bad had happened. He looked between each of them seeing emotion on Haskuldr, Parvati clearly distressed, but per usual Sigmund remained rather stoic. It was the fact that all four of them were together. Only missing Lorcan, Isabel (rest her soul), and their long lost brother Askold whom he had only heard stories about. They should all be grateful they could still be together. Most families split up and spread across the world.

But he knew one of them was gone. At first he thought it was mother until he spies her walking towards them in the distance. Parvati tries to choak out words, but he shushes her softly. "You don't have to say it Parv." He reaches out and gently lips her cheek in a comforting fashion before pulling back to look between their face. "It is Lorcan isn't it?" It was confirmed in the way Parvati's tears got heavier, Haskuldr lowered his eyes and head to the ground, and the way Sigmund nods.

"I just had a good chat with him at the end of fall. He seemed okay." Lorcan was older, but not old enough to just die like that. Had something been wrong? Nico tries to think back on his last encounter with his brother only now feeling guilt rise in his chest. He should have made more effort in the wintertime, but he had been busy patrolling and keeping his mares warm. "He starting getting sick in the fall." Their mother's voice behind the group. Sigmund and Haskuldr moved aise to give her room to join. Parvati clung close to her mother.

"He didn't want anyone to know, but he couldn't hide it from his mother." Ysabel was somber, but not crying. She hardly ever cried in front of anyone anymore. Not since leaving the Cove. "What about Adonia and their sons?" Nico asks as he looks around for them. Adonia never talked to anyone else. She must be devastated. Ysabel speaks again, "I doubt they live here anymore. I saw them leave and have not returned. All three appeared healthy so I don't believe Lorcan's sickness can be passed on." Nico nods. Just like his mother to think of the herd over her own sadness. Something he was still working on.

"I have more bad news," Has says and then preceeds to tell them all about the Arch.
