Battle for my heart

She has stepped in the falls, the slightly lost child remembering where her father had spoke of meeting if they ever had to leave their home.

She didn't know what had happened but had heard from a brother to go. They would find each other in the safety of the falls they had said.

Keeping away from the falls border which it shared with the common she continued her trek, her ears prick forwards as she follows the sound of the waterfall.

Stepping into the shallow end until it covered her hooves and partially up her lower leg she dropped her head to drink from the crystal clear cool water, hoping she would find someone soon. Although she knew she was relatively safe here, knowing none could claim her against her will, the yearling still hoped to find one of her family members.
