Like a plague Garmr couldn’t quite cure himself of, Nahawi had appeared after seasons of absence, and had the gall to take one of the brothers. A direct attack was too simple, not for that red bastard. He had thought Nahawi would come after the daughter he’d stole, or the child that now shared both of their blood. Perhaps he had misjudged on how much Nahawi cared for the blue girl? A worthless bit of time and effort if that were so.


Nahawi has fallen!


The familiar voice of Thranduil carries throughout the Lagoon, and it jolts the Boss with surprise. He was supposed to be a hostage in the Shore, not shouting at the top of his lungs here. What did he mean, Nahawi had fallen? With a disbelieving snort, Garmr hurried to find the cream and white stallion, not that he was hard to track down with all the noise he was making.


“What do you mean, Nahawi has fallen?” he demanded, his glittering green eyes unreadable. “Has he lost the Shore, or has someone killed him?” The outcome of the answer Thranduil gave was very important to the Boss, just as it was vital the brother tell him exactly what happened.
