you hesitated and I don't know why [Annubis]

‘Do you think dad is going to be mad at us?’

The question bounces around rent free in Hyacinth's head, the words having rolled off the tongue of her too sweet for this world daughter koru, and continued to do so until her hooves met the beach of an all too familiar stomping grounds. Water droplets fly everywhere as she gives a good shake, but doesn't bother with much more as her head tilts upwards to drink in the afternoon sun that would soon dry her completely if she lingered here on the beach much longer.

Koru wasn’t here yet, a quick glance over her shoulder confirms this, but perhaps that was for the best. Hya wasn’t too sure on how well her snarky wolf would receive her sudden appearance again; at least she didn’t have any curly eared children or a round belly to rub in his face this time around. If Annubis really wanted to bring it up she’d mention that he had the biggest tally of being responsible for at least half of her children she thinks, a little ego rub always went a long way with him.

Chuckling to herself she sets forward, leaving the beach behind and into the welcoming greenery of paradise. Bird calls sounded high above in the canopy as she went, giving away any stealthy approach she might have tried to attempt but she wanted him to find her. So instead of seeking out her male she makes a point to rub against palm fronds here and there, letting things pull at a few strands of her mane or tail; she might have double backed a couple times, maybe even spun a funny little circle to send him on a ghost hunt before her steps carry her into an empty inlet off the beach where she’d washed up at, the water there lapping at her hooves in a gentle caress instead of the rough and tumble she’d experienced during her swim. Here they’d be alone and potentially uninterrupted.
