He could be making a big mistake by staying here. There was no way for him to know what this mare was truly like. She could seem inexperienced and nervous now, but once her confidence gained she could become a terror. It was a long stretch to think she may end up being another Persephone. Despite being the one in a bad situation, he did not allow her nerves to rub off on him.

A smile stretches across his lips as she agree to let him stay. His large head nods in approval, glad that she at least agreed with him on something. "Thank you," he says as his mind begins to think maybe he had been lucky. Maybe she wouldn't be so bad and he could still have his freedom. Not that he needed freedom to do much, but it felt nice to be able to go wherever you wanted when you wanted. Not that she had agreed to anything like that yet, but she had said he could be in the Forest. He would at least have shelter and protection.

The greying mare looks around before asking him a curious question. No one has ever asked to learn the language of his ancestors before. Of course most of the Forest inhabitants had been used to them and Dagda really didn't get out much. He smiles at her head tilt and the comment about his language being beautiful. "No one has ever asked me to learn before. My family always teaches our children so it doesnt die with the bloodline here, but I have no one to pass it along to." No younger siblings and no children.

He had tried twice to find a mate, but each time it just hadn't worked out. Probably his awkwardness when talking to the beautiful lasses. For some reason he felt rather calm here with Baba Yaga. Maybe because his only intention was to earn her trust. "I can teach you some words, but I am not as fluent as my grandmother had been."
