Boss's Decree

For every brother you bring into the Lagoon, you may have a trinket of your own. I will not touch, barter, trade, or do anything with them. For every foal you create that lives here in the lagoon, you must win a battle or bring in a new brother.

If neither of these criteria are met, come them turning two and remaining in the lagoon, they are mine to do with as I see fit.

The Offspring

Briseis (Carthage x Clio)
Flynnrir (Garmr x Druna)
Gersemi (Garmr x Dior)
Gothic (Garmr x Dior)
Phaethon (Acid x Sabah)
Sadie (Abraxas x Mercy)

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

don't want to live as an unsung melody

Temperance
i'd rather listen to the silence telling me:

Temperance had gone off exploring, by herself, because she was big enough to do that now and she didn’t need to be babysat, and her mama had gone off to do something more important, leaving her here when she was still little. Her father had asked the nice mare Morgana to help look after her, just until she was strong enough, and though Temperance had been told to stay close to them, and stay out of the way of the stallions of the Lagoon, the filly was too curious for her own good. Morgana seemed to like keeping to herself, the way her mama did in what few, faded memories Temperance had of her.

She was just enjoying splashing in a muddy puddle when the trace of her father’s scent wove its way to her through the trees. Then she heard his voice, and skittered forward across sodden ground, as though to hasten to the mare and colt’s side, like she hadn’t been off adventuring all alone. Bursting through the undergrowth, she paused a brief moment, taking in the trio, before springing forward towards the colt that had flopped down. "Raaah!!!" she hollered, trying to get him to rise to his hooves, before twisting away. "Come play?" Temperance pleaded over one muddied, white shoulder.

From the corner of her eye, she caught sight of her father, and turned to him, stepping high as she closed the marshy distance between them. "Hi daddy! I was jus’ ‘splorin’ over that way!" Temperance pointed with her muddied white nose, vaguely indicating the gap in the foliage that she had emerged through. "Found a bran’ new patch a’ mud," she grinned, very proud, and tilted her chin up. "After you finish talkin’ with Miss Morgana, I could show you if you don’t got ‘portnant business you gotta go do."
