This was so… peculiar. Tilting his head again, Lucifer watched the young stallion and father with an actual sense of curiosity. Is this what it was like to have spawn? Lucifer didn't have this kind of relationship with Ceyx and it did make him wonder what could change that? His family, be it small or large, is what kept Lucifer going for his own space. It aided that he hated being under someone else's thumb, but Rieva gave him reason to come back. With Ceyx old enough and being left on Atlantis, he didn't have that anymore. There was no offspring to love on as his current youngest was just a tiny babe. Puzzled but curious, he watched.


Watching the terrified boy come closer, Lucifer felt his brows furrow. This wasn't normal. None of it and yet he just cleared his face of expression and listened when Helios spoke. Flicking one ear back but keeping the other one forward, Lucifer felt the molars in the back of his mouth grind. It was a true thing to say, but wasn't his mellow demeanor anything? Something wasn't right and it ate at him. The pain in his back leg didn't help either and while faced with someone so terrified… the demon laid there curious and lightly worried?


“I've got you.” His voice rumbled, but it wasn't his normal. Pinning his ears once what he said registered, the black beast just closed his eyes before turning and opening them upon Helios. “I don't know what this is Helios… but he's nothing like what I've stolen from you so far.” He couldn't keep his mouth closed and it was starting to irritate him more. “While with me, this son won't gain any more scars than what he has if he has any.” With that, Lucifer turned away from the Dunes king like a placated cat. What changed? That was now Lucifer's major question as he aimed a very soft nudge to the smaller boys rump. “Go. We can discuss a few things once we land.”
