Hearing that Nico’s son was a lot old than Tino he deflated slightly. He had hoped to have a playmate but seemed he was out of luck. He smiled when Nico bumped his shoulder though.
With a typical ‘teenage’ snort of what the hell he whined please don’t tell me your gonna make me learn patience. But all that was soon forgotten when he mentioned the foals. How old are the foals? he asked with interest. Tino wasn’t exactly a foal any more, but he still liked to play. He nodded as he followed Nico, but not before asking Hey Nico, are there any snakes on your island? Said with all innocence, as if Nico hadn’t caught him harassing the snakes on there first meeting and again in the meadow.
For their sake, I hope there are no snake here Raini said with a chuckle from further up the path, having already woke and decided to follow her son’s path. I’m not sure weather to be impressed by yours skills of stealth Tino, or annoyed she said, but she was still smiling.
Tino bounded up to his mother, just stopping short of crashing into her You should be impressed, because it wasn’t easy he said, making Raini laugh.
I should have known you’d gone to find Nico, I hope your not harassing him though she said with a pointed look at her son. He just shook his head. No, I’m not. Oh and Nico said he’s going to train me he said excitedly, causing Raini to look confused but she didn’t ask. She’d ask Nico later.
At Nico’s question she smiled No, that fine. she said before looking at her son But you are going to have to be gentle if the foals come up to you. No jumping around them like you do me she said pointedly. Tino just nodded, seemingly understanding before he quickly added Are you coming to mom? Raini just smiled with a quick replied Sure.
