Lifting a large hoof to reach over a fallen branch, the grey frame of Baba Yaga eyed the twisted cottonwood branch. Her eyes narrowed at it, questioning why the darn thing was right in her path, but not voicing the words. Her golden eyes narrowed, taking in the moss covered item and the one bug she could clearly see wriggling on it. The bug made her give the ew face she had perfected at this point, but she did not step on it as her hoof touched the ground and her other three followed. There was nothing worse than the innards of a bug stuck to her hooves until she could get to the river and wash it away after a good soak. All the bugs, big or small, made her skin quiver after the Ruins incident. She was healing up nicely from the wounds Lucifer had given her, but she could not make the mass of bugs escape her nightmares. They changed every time, but the one similarity was that she watched Ceyx pass away from the onslaught and then she herself suffered the same fate.
Shoving the dream away, Yaga was about to turn a different direction when a voice captured her attention. Letting her head shift from north to the direction that the voice came from, the draft cross looked at the mare that she knew nothing about. Tilting her head to the side, the seventeen hand mare let out a breath before chuckling softly as the question fully registered. Moving closer, she looked up at the tree before letting her eye move to take in the mare that smelt of the Forest. “What if it's both?” She asked, her voice kind as she turned her full attention back to the tree. Gold, orange, both colors could be correct as she searched the green leaves of a large canopy. Her long tail flicked, landing softly against her flank and stomach before falling away. “It could be many hues of both. I think that would be the best answer.” Smiling then, she let her head drop and set her gaze entirely upon the mare. “I am Baba Yaga. It is nice to meet another Forest resident.”
