you could rattle the stars.. if you only dared

Sand flew in the chestnut's wake as he traversed across the Dunes. More often now, he was patrolling. The young stallion was combing the borderlands, marking the boundary lines, and taking the time to take a look over the shifting dunes with a new set of eyes. With the position his father Helios had given him gave a true stake in the protection of the land and the future of its herd. Caesarion had known for well over a year now that his father's lessons were meant to prepare him for the far off day when the Dunes would be passed on to him.

His mind fogs, darkening at the edges with the stirred memories of Akkadian's hardened glances. Then, a figure materializes. Surprise promptly shoves his brother's presence from the chestnut's mind. Where had she come from? His blue eyes twinkled with amusement. Caesarion looses a whinny to the red mare, the sound a clear and friendly beckon to her to come and meet with him. His red ears prick forward attentively as the stallion stopped atop a crest. He had to wait and see if she decided to join him or not.

Caesarion
the chestnut splash son of Helios & Belladonna
