Fury radiates in every line of his figure as he faces down the lithe gray mare. Even when she flinches, his anger does not abate, although it does make him swallow the rest of the vitriol he had planned to launch at her.
He led the Arch for nearly a decade and in all of that time, had largely managed to keep his pink nose out of other herds' business. Of course, he was not naive enough not to recognize that much of the easy life he'd lived had been that way because of his father's influence, but he'd done his best to be a fair and calm leader. To be the sort of stallion his son's could look up to with pride, the way that he did his own father. He hadn't always been successful, but he didn't remember ever challenging someone else out of spite or a misplaced 'just-because' sort of attitude.
Beside him, Raksha does as she always does and drills down right to the heart of the issue, skipping the lecture he'd opened with to try and understand the gray mare that had ripped her away. It warmed his heart with pride again and it reminded him to take a breath, that there was still too much they didn't know. If he looked at the facts: yes, she had seemingly challenged for Raksha without planning to win or knowing what to do if she did, but she also hadn't harmed Raksha at all.
At the peach-colored mare's prompting, Yaga begins to speak again, bidding them to leave and then spinning a sad tale that Suleiman - in his currently riled state - did not want to believe. His ears remained twisted back, but he literally clamped down on his own tongue to still it. After losing nearly everyone he'd held dear for his entire life, it was hard to forgive this youngster for so flippantly taking away one of the last good things he had left.
But she didn't know that. He tried to remind himself of that, breathing steady breaths in through his nose and blowing them out harshly. He didn't trust himself to handle whatever emotional mess the girl was apparently in, and so instead of speaking, pressed his muzzle against Raksha's next, attempting to convey to her that he trusted whatever decision or comment she wanted to make, and that no matter what, he would be right here beside her.
