Arroyo,

You and I have not yet acquainted ourselves, a fact I plan to rectify soon. I have retaken my birth home in the Shore, and am forming alliances and partnerships. Atlantis will be that much stronger together.

To that end, I will be fully transparent with my desires: I intend to lead Atlantis to a monarchy beneath my name as my father did with Tinuvel. I would like to do so peaceably, and so I ask you now, what conditions would you have of such an arrangement?

The mid-afternoon sun was warm along the chimera's back as he strolled along the water's edge, letting the relentless ocean lap at his hooves as he traveled. Already his residence in the Shore was having beneficial effects on him, restoring shine to his mane and tail and reinvigorating his ambitions. He had grown complacent on Salem, he knew, and he did not wish to make the same mistake. Especially not now that Marceline had given up everything in the Peak to stand at his side.

He would not fail.

Flicking the dark strands of his tail, the tobiano meandered down the path until the scent of the Ridge's newest ruler wafted into his nostrils. He had seen precious little of the other stallion, but he hadn't exactly gone searching either. Borders were borders, and Asmodeus didn't intend to breed bad will by stepping across them unless it was important. This, however, was important. Even if he did not manage to garner the support he needed right away, this endeavor would teach him more about each of his neighbors than sitting by the sidelines ever would.

Lifting his head, Asmodeus called out for Arroyo, and then settled in to wait, letting the beautiful ocean fill the quiet. It was peaceable enough out here, and he made sure to be plenty far away from the man's family and other residents. His intentions were not here to take, after all, but to give.
