She stares at him intently until he speaks. Her chest thumps loudly until suddenly it just stops. Everything is quiet as he answers. He says the same words that were in her own head. The same feeling she has been fighting since she left the Harbor. "I-I missed you too." She manages to sputter out. Never has Devi been this nervous. Even the new chapter of being a lone mother or raising a blind child had never made her this nervous.
"I've thought about coming to visit." She says. "My daughter...she needs me." She has said it before and she will continue to say it. Sara may be considered an adult now, but she was still so young. The rest of the world was still a mystery to her and she has no idea of the dangers out there. Her front hoof raises a bit as she does a circle in the grass below. She looks down at the grass for a second before taking a deep breath.
"But I need you." Her eyes find his again as her hoof firmly plants back on the ground. She advances then and places her head back in the same spot on his chest that she had in the Harbor.
