She considered everything he was saying but one sentence caught her attention more than anything.
I aim to become King of Atlantis That caught her attention as she wasn’t aware any of them had. I wasn’t aware anyone had overall rule of the islands, I thought it was only the different sections that ruled themselves she voiced. It certainly wasn’t one she’d heard of before.
And I am likely to make both friends and enemies along the way. I need a herd that can handle themselves no matter what comes. That would explain some of what he’d already said about needing herd members able to take care of themselves. Not wilt under the first little flame.
Perhaps even mares cunning and strong enough to be willing to go into other herds but remain loyal - at least in part - to me for the opportunity I provided. She had to chuckle at this, I’m not sure I’d be very good at that, mainly because my temper can get the better of me when face with unreasonable push back she smirked. It was one of the reasons she often ended up snapping at things and making it obviously clear she wasn’t friendly. That and some of her thinking could be a little skewed, but she didn’t voice that out loud.
But loyalty I can give where it also received. she figured this stallions and his different ways would probably be similar.
In sense he was offering the freedom to choose your own future whilst still having a home to return to. That was indeed a bit of rarity. It wasn’t something often seen in this world, at least not the bits she’d seen of it.
Heroes or Villians he said, that was probably a good thing he didn’t mind either, seeing as how she’s effectively been brought up by villains who wanted to use her as either a lure, or bait! She could only see that now, having had time to understand more about the words
She sighed. I have to be honest with you, your dream for the future sounds almost fanciful. That said, I’ll be more than willing to eat those when you prove me wrong she said with a smile. Your home and your way of thinking does sound like something I could be happy in. She said quiet, nodding he head. So yes, I like you idea.
She was quiet for a moment, thinking. I do have one thing I’d like to ask of you, or even of one of your herd members she asks carefully. And of course your free to say no, but I think you may agree it would make me more useful to you. she paused. Would you teach me how to fight properly?
