Cyclone Alfred, south of Brisbane, was a bit of a fizzer, not much wind, 120mm rain in 24hrs. 24 hours later, very windy and plenty of rain, another 120mm overnight. Biggest problem was loss of power at 0015, came back on at 1730hrs, then back off again at 1800hrs and still off at 0437 today. Will wait until daylight to fire up the generator again.
Compared to Cyclone Tracy 50 years ago Alfred was a slight breeze.
