Drown in the storm (updated, i changed the end)

She snorts out a laugh at his getting attached comment, was never going to happen. Oh he might think it might, especially if he pushed enough but no, this wasn’t her home.
She stomped away from the infuriating beast, at his taunt she shouts back to him keep pushing and find out she snarks at him. In truth though she didn’t want him to push her to the limit of her control, because if she did bite him, and lets face it he would deserve it, she was worried though that he would retaliate onto her. So no, she didn’t want him to push her level of control. Problem was, with hormones thanks to the time of year her temper wasn’t what it normally was.

Still not yours she calls back when he called her one of his mares. She wasn’t normally one to have a verbal sparring match, it was only her fear fuelling her right now that caused it. Problem was the anger was beginning to sizzle out, but the fear didn’t.

Stopping a distance away on the beach she stare out at the water, watching it lapping at the beach before retreating again. Dropping her head she closes her eyes, she pray Tino was staying put. He’d swam once and the thought of him trying to fight the waves to find her made her suck in a shaky breath.

She would get home, somehow. She’d figure this out. This was not her home and never would be, her home was where her son was right now and she would get back there, definitely before the foal she probably carried was born as well.
At that thought ice stabs her heart, she couldn’t go through that again. She’d almost lost Tino thanks to an invading herd.

No, she wouldn’t try to guess this stallions motives. Opening her eyes she turned to seek him out, finding him not far from where she had left him, probably making sure she wasn’t going to try and flee the moment his back was turned, honestly the idea held some interest to her, but she also knew it would cause more problems for Nico, and she wouldn’t do that.

Taking up a brisk walk she marched over to him. I need some answer from you? she said, determination lacing her voice as her eyes fixed on him. I need to know she hesitated I need to know that you won’t harm a foal that isn’t sired by you? she said. She was quiet for a few beat, realising she might have to give him a glimpse into her past to make him realise how much she needed this answer, but she would much prefer not to. She hated retelling her past, actually she’d only ever retold it once and that was to Nico. She waited to see if he would give up the information she needed freely.
