Such a blast of Fresh Air Posted on March 17, 2025 at 06:50:21 PM by Polar
In the face of danger, I'm moving. I can feel the twigs and dirt beneath my hooves slip under me at times. I've stumbled but my hooves struck their intended target though; where I dared not look as I moved onward again. "Asphara and Viceroy are fine." I reassured her as they were further inland of the homeland. By this time it was Dagda whom had approached and further ushered them to head for the salty water. It was in hopes of this that we escape to have it not follow. One could of course wish this to be the case. As soon as the beast had come to not paying much heed to them as it paced the shore of the sandy beach. There was no pleasure in it's gaze and the angry grunts told of it's discontent.
Another figure had come into the scene but I hadn't really been paying attention to them. They didn't smell familiar. My gaze swept to Baby Yaga and Dagda as they joined me into the salty water. I could imagine the displeasure with Baby Yaga as the sea lapped at the wounds on her coat. I shudder to the thought but notice with a side glance that another was joining them in the water. One that he didn't recognize but that the boar must have gone after when they were the only creature left on the shore of the Forest. This is where attention is shifted to another. The stranger I didn't know. I had heard those words of his but I had ignored them in the face of the moments we were in. Now however, my eyes drop on the black splashed stallion.
"Intelligence would have spoken numbers in the moment stranger. That the beast would turn to you when they could not reach us. Or didn't want to reach us. Who are you and why are you here?" There is the stench of the Lagoon that wafted to his nostrils from this stranger. Untrustworthy they were the lot of them. Why was one from the Lagoon here in the Forest? What trouble was he trying to stir up? Polar was not comfortable with a Lagoon creature on their borders. Why had he not made himself known sooner? What were his intentions? Nothing he knew about this stranger other than where he had come from. Dagda and Baby Yaga were here as well so things could be handled as needed where the stranger was concerned.
Hopefully the beast would leave them be since it appeared that they didn't wish to follow the equine into the water. This was good for them but, they could not stay here forever. Treading the sea would be tiring and as it were; Baby Yaga was already injured and the salt water could not be doing her any wonders but stinging. Replies: There have been no replies.
