The trade off for no strike is the right to go to arbitration. Yet, 4+ years later we still sit with no progress. Why not invoke arbitration? If Local 2's case is strong, then we have nothing to fear. Why are we sitting on our hands for this long of a time period with no raises?
Me thinks maybe a lot of our positions are indefensible and likely to be rejected by the arbitrator and ruled in favor of the city. Our fabulous EB knows this, but keeps kissing the president's ring so they can enjoy their perks for which we pay.
Time for a new plan and new "wants" that make sense. Not to mention - time for new leadership. Replies:
