As was previously mentioned, the next big Basque Country Tournament will be held April 10-29, 2025 at St. Jean de Luz--CESTA PUNTA ALL STARS.
In the past this has has been a partido tournament, like all the rest of the major tournaments.
This year is going to be different. The tournament will be contested in a series of Quiniella matches in two groups (A and B). 20 players (10 fronts and 10 backs) will be divided into the two groups.
The qualifiers will be held: 2 games (an A game and a B game--5 pairs in each) on April 10, 15, and 18. The members of Groups A and B will be the same, but the pairings will be different for each 2 game session. Quinella semi-finals on April 22 and 24. Quinella Final on April 29.
The tournament website contains nothing about super 7 or 9 scoring. Each game will last about 1/2 hour. If I read anything about a different type of scoring, I will let you know. Otherwise I assume (as has been the case with B level tournaments in the past) that the score at the end of the time period will determine the winners. So unless there is other information to come, each matchup will be worth 1 point, no matter how many rounds.

I do not know for sure if these games will be live streamed and/or on demand. In the past they have been. In the past, all St. Jean de Luz games have been streamed via Canal + via the ST. JEAN DE LUZ CESTA PUNTA YOUTUBE SITE (SEARCH ST. JEAN DE LUZ CESTA PUNTA YOUTUBE). If available the games will be under the "Live" tab. The games begin at 7:00 local time.
