GUIDELINES common sense, really i. the Prairie stands as a symbol of peace and prosperity among the islands ii. anyone is welcome to live here so long as they do not bring harm to the Prairie or any of it's residents iii. adventure and exploration is not only allowed, but encouraged! residents are asked to use their better judgement and not travel to places that could bring them harm iv. the head of the prairie has final say in all prairie matters. the secondary and third positions are not able to be challenged for and are selected by the head v. the guardians take on a more active role in the prairie; they must protect the inhabitants of the prairie and go on patrols of the prairie borderlines and shore. they can welcome strangers to the prairie and invite anyone to live here, though they must inform one of the leaders of any newcomers or visitors |

Lir did nothing to hide the sounds of his approach. Just as the perceived stranger had done by shouting for her.. for Vernonia. He doesn't know what to feel or think of this dark stranger who'd come looking for the fewspot mare who'd stolen a piece of him when she left with her family.
Hazel eyes take in the stranger ambivalently. Lir isn't naive to think that he was the only one Vernonia had spent time with that fall two years ago. In his bones, however, he feels he is absolutely Ironweed's father and that Vernonia would still be here with him now had her (their) family not left the islands that spring.
Keeping his face a mask of neutrality, the sable dunskin paint shakes his head at the name, the question in the champagne man's voice. “I'm sorry to be the one to tell you. Vernonia left for the mainland with her kin this past spring." He understands why the other male has come looking for her. On the islands, there are few mares with a spirit like Vernonia.
