A great loss. My all-time favorite player, and the greatest backcourter of his era, perhaps ever.

I saw him play dozens of times at the end of his career, and he still was fabulous. My greatest single memory ... he always seemed to be in position for the next catch even before his opponent threw the ball.

I had the pleasure to speak with him a number of times, as he was a fellow Connecticut resident. He threw out the first ball (with Joey) at Matt's Connecticut Amateur formal opening.

A great loss, but a good time to honor his fabulous career. He will be remembered.
